Hi, I'm particularly interested in the Evolver for it's signal processing potential (not to mention it's great synth), but there are not too many demos on Dave Smith's site showing it's processing power, and the one's he does have are not the best.

Can anyone share a little of their experience with this side of the Evolver, and if anyone knows of any demo's they could point me to showing external processing I would greatly appreciate it.

I'm particularly interested in it's

I have just one file demonstrating the input processing on a drum track:

Evolver Audioprocessing

In the following piece part of the drum tracks and the vocal tracks were processed with the Evolver:

That first track was exactly the sort of thing I was looking for. Thanks a lot!

If you happen to get around to twerking another loop with the Evolver...do post it here. Cheers

This is somewhat related: can one use drum trigger signal to trigger notes or whatever in the Evolver?

I am thinking about feeding a Roldand KD-8 kick trigger pedal (or something similar) into the audio input. I did read somewhere that these drum triggers produce a 5V signal of fixed length (a few msecs ?) and the level varies depending on the velocity or strength of the hit.

Will this work?

I think the levels can be matched but the main question is, how fast is the envelope follower in relation to the length of the trigger signal. I don't want to process it as audio signal, just use it as a trigger/modulator source.

We have a two-man band, and I would like the drummer be able to trigger short bass sequences and effects in an Evolver. Now, if the Evolver could detect BPM from the input ...

Cheers.
