Can someone please help me identify the EX5 patches starting at about 1:45 thru 4:00. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Nothing obvious springs to made, and of course they could be patches he made himself, or patches he adapted!

Why don't you email the chap in the video and ask?

The first few are obviously AN patches, with the first one being heavily filtered with the filter having very high resonance.

I love it! An EX5 as a "Secret Weapon" lol

A Motif ES8 in the frame, the Roland MKS does the Piano work and the "Secret Weapon" does the rest - fantastic

I couldn't help smiling when he commented on the slow loading of the samples in the ES8 - just like the EX5 speed comments only now we are talking about 400Mb of samples

He needs to get Ski Rhodes on the EX as well!

The first voice sounds a bit like Ld: Rap Whistle (I2-034 on one of the factory disks). You can get a passable Dr. Who out of it with a bit of tweaking!

Thanks. That's what I thought it was, but I didn't have the "whirly" sound at the endof the note where the standard patch goes a slightly off pitch when he played the riff with the individual notes.

Yes - I suspect that's the case. I haven't studied the video forensically, but you can catch a brief glimpse of the selection he made to call that voice up and it wasn't in the same place as the default on my board.

So maybe he copied the original voice to a new location and edited it there. Or maybe he edited the original and reorganised the voices (perhaps using Derek's ex.factory?)
